we have a frame with slats, is this OK, or do we need to put a solid pc of plywood on top? if so how thick do you reccomend?

  2. I bought the twin xl for my son, it sits fine on the metal slat frame we purchased. I did add a bed skirt to hide the underneath. The mattress does not sink in between the slats.

  4. Do not put a solid piece of wood. The mattress needs to "breathe" You can get mold if the bottom is completely covered.
